The Information Front Vol. 3 is out now
The Information Front Vol. 3 was published on the occasion of the exhibition “Generations of Resilience” at Hangar, Photo Art Center (Brussels, Belgium) from January 26 to March 23, 2024. The exhibition, co-curated by the Hangar team and Kateryna Radchenko, brings together 22 artists and explores the richness and diversity of photographic creation in Ukraine from a transgenerational and historical perspective.
The Information Front Volume 3 looks at a decade of war waged in Ukraine, since Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea to its present full-scale invasion. The book visualizes the years 2013-2023 primarily through the visions of young people born in the late 1980s and in an independent Ukraine — through their involvement in the socio-political transformations in the country, their experiences, fears, and everyday lives.
Artists featured in the publication: Igor Chekachkov, Olia Koval, Volodymyr Petrov, Stanislav Ostrous, Andriy Boyko, Valeriy Veduta, Daria Svertilova, Gera Artemova, Yana Kononova, Polina Polikarpova, Igor Efimov, Julia Po, Alex Blanco, Kateryna Alieksieienko, Anonymous soldier.
All profit from the sales of The Information Front goes to supporting Ukrainian culture, including photographers, in a partnership with Odesa Photo Days. To date, The Information Front has raised €4,500, contributing to a support program for Ukrainian photographers affected by the full-scale war.
