“Generations of Resilience” Exhibition in Hangar Photo Art Center, Brussels

The exhibition “Generations of Resilience – 22 Ukrainian Photographers” is on show at Hangar Photo Art Center, Brussels, Belgium by March 23, 2024.

The exhibition shows the challenges several generations of Ukrainian photographers face, from the Kharkiv School of Photography to contemporary artists and young photography-based authors.

“The history of Ukraine is a struggle for the future, which continues through generations. Here, photography and art become one of the main methods to record and archive changes and one of the ways to fight in the war and resist colonial policy”, — Kateryna Radchenko, the curator of the exhibition, said.

Six young artists featured in the exhibition are participants of the online Photographic Storytelling Mentoring Programme for young photographers which was organized by the international festival of contemporary photography Odesa Photo Days with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the fall of 2022.
